SEOUL, October 23 (AJP) - SEOUL (AJP) — Samsung SDI showcased its lineup of mobility batteries at the Future Auto & Mobility Expo 2024 in the southeastern Korean city of Daegu, the company said Wednesday.

The Korean battery maker displayed several next-generation products, including cathode-free solid-state batteries, which began sample deliveries to clients in late 2023, and 46-phi cylindrical batteries scheduled for micro-mobility production in early 2025.

The company also exhibited its cell-to-pack technology, designed to increase energy density and reduce costs by eliminating module structures.

"Samsung SDI is leading the global battery market through superior technological competitiveness and quality," CEO Choi Yoon-ho said.

"We will maintain our leadership in the future mobility market through timely mass production of next-generation products such as solid-state and 46-phi cylindrical batteries."

The eighth annual show opened Wednesday for a four-day run, bringing together about 200 businesses in the mobility sector, especially batteries and electric vehicles.
