The five-member group was formed through a collaboration between SM Entertainment, Kakao Entertainment's North American subsidiary and London-based Moon & Back Media.
The group consists of Blaise Noon, 19; Dexter Greenwood, 22; James Sharp, 23; Oliver Quinn, 20; and Reese Carter, 20. Their average age is 21.
Moon & Back cast them in the U.K., and SM trained them in Korea.
At a press conference in London, the agencies introduced the boy band and previewed the first episode of "Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience," a six-part BBC series documenting their training in Korea over approximately 100 days. The show is set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this month.
"Training at SM has been an incredible journey for all of us," said Greenwood during the press conference." "This journey allowed us to end up with an outstanding TV show and group."
Carter visited Korea last year and worked as a dancer on a cruise, visiting several cities.
"Through these experiences, I realized that the K-pop industry has a massive infrastructure. You can feel the influence of K-pop wherever you go," he said.
Dear Alice aims to explore opportunities on the global music stage, both in the U.K. and internationally.
