According to Hyundai, the cumulative sales of the SUV have reached 506,425 units as of last month, achieving the milestone about six years after its launch there in 2019.
The Palisade has maintained steady sales in the world's largest auto market, with 28,736 units sold in 2019, 82,661 in 2020, and 86,539 in 2021.
Following the release of its partly-modified version in 2022, sales climbed to 89,509 in 2023 and reached 110,055 last year, accounting nearly two-thirds its global sales of some 165,745 units.
To capitalize on this momentum, Hyundai unveiled its fully facelifted version at this year's New York International Auto Show in the Big Apple last Wednesday, which is scheduled to hit local dealerships later this year.
With the rollout of the new version, the automaker expects the SUV's popularity to grow even further, as customers will have more options with gasoline, hybrid, and off-road versions. But challenges remain due to potential price hikes caused by U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff pressures on imported vehicles.
