SEOUL, April 15 (AJP) - Hollywood star Tom Cruise will visit Seoul next month to promote his latest "Mission: Impossible" series with other cast members accompanying him.

"I am so excited to share that I'll be returning to Seoul with the cast of 'Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning' in May," he said in a video message earlier this week. "I look forward to seeing you all very, very soon."

His upcoming visit will be his 12th trip to the country since his first in 1994 to promote "Interview with the Vampire." His most recent visit was in 2023 for "Mission: Impossible -- Dead Reckoning Part One."

"Mission: Impossible -- The Final Reckoning," the eighth and final installment in the franchise, is slated for release here in late May, about a week after its world premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival which opens in the Mediterranean resort city on May 13.

In the latest installment, Cruise is back in action again for the role of a government agent on a desperate mission to confront a rogue artificial intelligence program threatening global security. He reportedly performed most of the deadly, action-packed scenes himself, without a stand-in.
