[CES 2025] Samsung Display to showcase 18.1-inch foldable display at CES 2025

LAS VEGAS, January 5 (AJP) - Samsung Display will unveil its 18.1-inch foldable panel, which unfolds to the size of a small monitor, at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, running for four days starting on Tuesday.

Users can operate the device as a tablet or laptop depending on the situation, leveraging its touch functionality. The panel can also function as a monitor when paired with peripherals like a keyboard. When folded, the screen measures 13.1 inches. Previously, Samsung Display showcased a 17.3-inch foldable panel for IT devices in 2022.

The display manufacturing firm will also present Slidable Flex Duet, allowing users to expand a tablet from 8.1 inches to 12.4 inches by pulling from both sides. Another innovation, the Slidable Flex Solo, extends one side of a tablet from 13 inches to 17.3 inches. The Slidable Flex Vertical lets users carry a 5.1-inch device that vertically expands to 6.7 inches when needed.

Adding a playful touch to its exhibit, Samsung Display will greet visitors with a robot dog at the entrance. The four-legged robot used by Samsung Display Vietnam for unmanned infrastructure operations. For this exhibition, it has been reprogrammed and equipped with circular OLED displays in its eyes.
