SEOUL, December 18 (AJP) - Netflix' reality show "Single's Inferno" is set to usher in the new year with its fourth season next month, the American streaming giant said on Tuesday.
Set for release on Jan. 14, the hit dating show has become the first South Korean Netflix series to be picked up for a fourth season.
The dating show features single men and women stranded on a remote island as they navigate relationships. Contestants choose someone they are interested in for dates. If both feel the same way, they can enjoy a luxurious date.
Shortly after its first release, it ranked among Netflix' global top 10 charts for non-English shows and remained popular, with its second season staying in the top 10 for four consecutive weeks. Its latest season also appeared on the top 10 lists in about 31 countries.
The success of the show also led to the fame of its cast such as YouTuber-turned-TV personality Dex, social media influencer Song Ji-a, and dancer and model Cha Hyun-seung.
Producer Kim Jae-won described the upcoming season as the hottest yet, offering viewers a glimpse of contestants' "honest, bold, and unfiltered charm."
"We believe Season 4 is even more entertaining, as we did our best to reflect feedback from viewers of the previous season, whether positive or negative," Kim said.
