SEOUL, November 18 (AJP) - An Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed Hezbollah's chief spokesman, Mohammed Afif al-Naboulsi, on Sunday. Hezbollah confirmed his death in an attack on the Arab Socialist Baath Party office. Israel's military described him as a key figure in Hezbollah's operations and propaganda.

A separate strike on a computer shop in Beirut killed two and wounded 22. Lebanese officials criticized Israel's actions as undermining ceasefire talks led by the U.S.

In Gaza, Israeli strikes on Beit Lahiya killed at least 30 people, according to hospital sources. Civilians reported widespread destruction and casualties, with Israeli forces targeting "terrorist infrastructure." Residents expressed despair amid escalating bombings, with tens of thousands displaced.

Israel's offensive expanded into Lebanon and Gaza, with artillery targeting Hezbollah positions and intensifying ground operations in northern Gaza. Over 3,400 people in Lebanon and 43,800 in Gaza have been killed, with significant civilian displacement. Hezbollah continues daily attacks on Israel, which has suffered 76 fatalities, including 31 soldiers.

Domestically, tensions persist in Israel. Police arrested suspects for firing flares at Prime Minister Netanyahu's residence amid protests against his handling of the war and security failures. Meanwhile, international calls for investigations into Israel's actions grow, including from Pope Francis, who suggested potential genocide in Gaza.
