SEOUL, November 13 (AJP) - Eight international aid organizations said on Tuesday that Israel has not met U.S. demands to expand humanitarian access into Gaza, a region heavily affected by ongoing conflict, where experts warn that famine conditions may already exist in the northern areas.

Despite this, the Biden administration announced on Tuesday that it would not restrict arms supplies to Israel, asserting that Israel, a close U.S. ally, has made limited yet notable progress in allowing more humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The U.S. had previously set a 30-day deadline for Israel to increase aid access in Gaza, warning that failure to do so could trigger U.S. laws mandating reductions in military support as Israel continues operations against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Over the past 24 hours, Israeli strikes have killed at least 46 people in Gaza and 33 in Lebanon, according to local health authorities. Additionally, two people in northern Israel died due to rockets launched from Lebanon.

Palestinian health officials report that Israel's operations in Gaza have resulted in over 43,000 deaths, with more than half of the casualties being women and children, though they do not specify distinctions between civilian and combatant deaths.
