In July, a Korean consortium led by KHNP was selected as the preferred bidder for the Dukovany nuclear power plant project, which is valued at around 24 trillion won (US$17.1 billion).
During their visit, the delegation of more than 60 people, including Tomáš Pleskač, head of the new business division at Czech power firm CEZ, will conduct on-site inspections at locations such as the Saeul Nuclear Plant in Ulsan and continue their negotiations.
KHNP aims to accelerate contract discussions by showcasing Korea's advanced nuclear technology and industrial sites.
Following their selection as the preferred bidder, KHNP established a task force of experts in various fields, including technology and nuclear fuel, and has conducted several rounds of negotiations in the Czech Republic.
"KHNP and the ordering party have been working together toward the common goal of successfully building the Czech new nuclear power plant. We will do our best to finalize the contract by March next year," said KHNP CEO Whang Ju-ho.
