SEOUL, November 11 (AJP) - Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned on Saturday of a "crushing response" to recent U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran and its allies, fueling the ongoing  conflict with Israel. Speaking to students, Khamenei emphasized that Iran would retaliate for the "actions against Iran and the resistance front."

Tensions between Iran and Israel have intensified following Hamas-led attacks on Israel in October, with Iranian officials hinting at a forthcoming response to recent Israeli strikes on Iranian military sites.

It is said that intelligence indicates Iran may be preparing to target Israel soon. Although Iranian officials downplayed last week's Israeli airstrikes, analysis reveals damage to several defense and missile facilities. In response, the U.S. announced additional deployments to the Middle East, reinforcing its readiness to protect American interests should Iran or its allies act.

Meanwhile, polio vaccinations resumed on Saturday in northern Gaza, though about 15,000 children remain unreachable due to ongoing Israeli operations.

UNICEF resumed efforts with temporary humanitarian pauses granted by Israel, though reports of a drone strike on a vaccination clinic have raised concerns over safety. The campaign, delayed due to escalating violence, aims to protect over 119,000 children against polio, a virus nearly eradicated globally but recently detected in Gaza.
