Li reiterated China's commitment to supporting Malaysia on key issues of mutual concern and urged strengthening cooperation across various fields, including governance, strategic development, and major projects like the East Coast Rail Link and the Malaysia-China "Two Countries, Twin Parks" initiative. He also encouraged expanding collaboration in emerging areas.
Li called for increased cultural exchanges and encouraged more youth interactions between the two nations to foster mutual understanding. He also offered China's full support for Malaysia's role as ASEAN chair next year and expressed a desire to cooperate within the China-ASEAN framework to promote regional economic integration and safeguard peace in Asia.
In return, Anwar expressed Malaysia's strong partnership with China, underscoring the country's willingness to deepen Belt and Road cooperation and pursue stronger collaboration in trade, investment, the digital economy, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
He also expressed support for China's bid to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and pledged to enhance coordination with China on international and regional issues during Malaysia’s ASEAN presidency.
