The partnership was announced on Thursday during the AI Summit 2024 in Mumbai, aimed at highlighting India's role as a global AI leader.
"This cannot be done by any one company, any one individual, but we all have to work together to bring this intelligence age safely to the world so that we can create a more equal world, a more prosperous world," Ambani said.
Huang backed Ambani, saying, "Let's make it a promise today that we will work together so that India can take advantage of the intelligence revolution that's ahead of us."
Huang emphasized that India should manufacture its own AI and highlighted the importance of the country building its own AI infrastructure rather than exporting data to import intelligence.
The three-day summit includes over 50 sessions, live demonstrations and interactive workshops, exploring subjects such as robotics, supercomputing and industrial digitization, with an emphasis on how AI can tackle India's major challenges.
About 2,000 Indian companies are part of Nvidia Inception, the U.S. tech giant's initiative that supports innovative startups developing AI and data science technologies.
