SEOUL, October 16 (AJP) - Workers at Samsung Electronics' factory in Tamil Nadu, southern India, have ended a month-long strike over wages and working conditions after agreeing to welfare measures, the state's industry minister said Tuesday.

"The strike at the Samsung factory has come to an end, and all the workers are resuming work,” T.R.B. Rajaa, the state's industry minister, said Tuesday.

Since Sept. 9, hundreds of Samsung employees had participated in the strike at the factory in Sriperumbudur.

The facility employs nearly 2,000 workers and produces televisions, refrigerators and other consumer goods.
