SEOUL, October 11 (AJP) – Genesis BBQ, a major Korean chicken franchise, is hosting its version of Oktoberfest at its Seoul branch, offering the flavors and fun of the famous German beer festival.

The BBQ Oktoberfest is currently underway at the BBQ Village restaurant in Songnidan-gil, an emerging youth hotspot in southeastern Seoul, from Sept. 21 to Oct. 31.

The event features a variety of traditional Oktoberfest dishes, including Brathendl (roast chicken), Bratwurst (German sausage), Kartoffelsalat (German potato salad) and Paulaner, Germany’s No. 1 Oktoberfest beer,  according to the company.

The venue is decorated with traditional Oktoberfest decor to create an authentic atmosphere.

“As Korea continues to shine as a global cultural leader and BBQ Chicken cements its place as a beloved K-food brand in 57 countries, including Germany, we are thrilled to bring the spirit of Oktoberfest to the heart of Seoul,” said Tamara T. H. Kim, an executive at Genesis BBQ Group.

The event has garnered attention from international social media influencers. Over 20 global influencers, including Mykoreandic, with more than 10 million subscribers, and KoreanNosh, with 1.5 million subscribers, attended a preview and shared their experiences, the company said.
