Poland is Korea's second-largest export destination in the European Union, KITA said, adding that the two countries are collaborating in various fields, including batteries, defense, infrastructure, and the reconstruction of Ukraine.
"Last year, trade between Korea and Poland exceeded US$10 billion for the first time, and over 390 Korean companies have entered Poland, creating 30,000 jobs in Poland," said KITA chairman Yoon Jin-sik during the opening ceremony held on Thursday. "Through the Warsaw office, we will promote the capabilities of Korean companies in areas of cooperation between the two countries."
The Warsaw office will be responsible for providing market information, supporting local marketing, and building networks for companies entering the market. It will also promote the establishment of the Korean business council in Poland to represent the challenges faced by local businesses and facilitate cooperation.
The opening ceremony was attended by over 60 figures, including Andrzej Dycha, head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
