Panagsama Beach in Philippines named Southeast Asia's best by Condé Nast Traveler

SEOUL, September 12 (AJP) - The Philippine Department of Tourism has announced that Panagsama Beach in Moalboal, Cebu, has been named the "Best Beach in Southeast Asia" by Condé Nast Traveler. The beach is renowned for its spectacular sardine run, a natural phenomenon that attracts visitors from around the world.

Condé Nast Traveler cited the beach's unique marine ecosystem and natural environment as key factors in its selection. The publication stated that these features alone qualify Panagsama as one of the top beaches in Southeast Asia.

The best time to observe the famous sardine run is from November to April. During this period, millions of sardines can be seen swimming in mesmerizing formations, creating an unforgettable spectacle for onlookers.

A spokesperson for the Philippine Department of Tourism expressed hope that divers from around the globe will continue to visit Moalboal to experience its beautiful beaches and distinctive underwater ecosystem. The recognition is expected to boost tourism in the area and highlight the Philippines' rich marine biodiversity.
