SEOUL, September 10 (AJP) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to discuss peace negotiations for the Russia-Ukraine war with Indian national security advisor this week, according to news reports.

Russian state media outlet RT, citing India Today, reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is expected to visit Moscow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sources indicated that Doval will meet with President Putin to discuss India's efforts to resolve the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Doval will also attend the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) security officials' meeting in Russia.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently taken on the role of mediator for peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Modi met with President Putin in Moscow in July.

In August, he became the first Indian leader to visit Kyiv, where he held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Modi has emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy are the only means to end the war.
