SEOUL, September 2 (AJP) - Two people were killed on Saturday evening in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, when a teenage girl fell from a building and landed on a pedestrian, the Japan Times reported.

The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. at a square in front of Yokohama Station in the city's Nishi Ward. Security camera footage showed one person falling from a building and striking another who was walking below, according to Kanagawa Prefectural Police, according to the report Sunday.

The deceased were identified as a 17-year-old high school student from Chiba Prefecture and a 32-year-old corporate worker from Yokohama. Police said the student fell from a rooftop garden on the 12th floor of a commercial building connected to the station.

Authorities suspect the female high school student died by suicide. The corporate worker was walking with three friends when she was struck by the falling teenager. Both individuals were pronounced dead after being transported to hospital.

Kanagawa Prefectural Police are investigating the details of the incident.
