SEOUL, August 30 (AJP) – Korean tech startup Studio Meta-K teased two dramas featuring its virtual artist Suvi at a content industry fair this week.

The two trailers were showcased at Broadcast Worldwide (BCWW) 2024, Asia's largest content industry show, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Seoul from Tuesday to Thursday.

Studio Meta-K said Suvi appears in two generative AI-powered historical dramas, "Competition for the Queen's Throne" and "Mara."

"We are currently in discussions with broadcasting companies to produce these two dramas," CEO Kim Kwang-jib told AJP.

“Competition for the Queen's Throne" is a fusion historical drama based on the web novel and comic titled "I Didn't Want to Be Chosen by the Tyrannical Emperor."

"Mara" is an occult period series set in a palace from the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897) overtaken by a mysterious evil spirit.

"The trailers we released exemplify the evolving content production landscape," Kim said.

In July, Suvi made her debut with a dance single called "Suncream." The 22-year-old virtual singer, standing 170 centimeters (5'7") tall, is part of Studio Meta-K's virtual artist group, "Season."

The annual BCWW is designed to showcase a variety of video content, bringing together media professionals from around the world to discuss the video content industry.
