SEOUL, August 30 (AJP) - Indian regular forces killed three alleged Naxalites, known as radical communists in India, after a fierce gunfight in central Chhattisgarh on Thursday, according to Indian police.

The gunfight occurred while government troops were searching a rebel hideout.

Currently, Naxal forces are active across central and eastern India, engaging in combat with Indian security forces or attacking Christians and churches.

Since the beginning of 2024, there have been several gunfights between government troops and Naxal forces in Chhattisgarh, with reports indicating that a total of 145 Naxalites have been killed so far.
