Samsung enhances AI appliances with advanced voice control

SEOUL, August 26 (AJU PRESS) - Samsung Electronics has upgraded its artificial intelligence voice assistant Bixby for its Bespoke AI appliances, enabling more intuitive voice commands. The new system can understand multi-intent instructions, maintain context across conversations and provide detailed product information through voice queries, the company said Monday.

With the appliances comprehending and executing multiple tasks simultaneously, users can now issue complex commands like "Set the air conditioner to 26 degrees and finish the laundry by 5 p.m."

The update also allows users to ask follow-up questions about energy usage or operating costs without repeating context. Additionally, Bixby can now provide vocal instructions for appliance maintenance and recommend appropriate washing cycles for specific clothing items.

This upgrade is currently available on the 2024 models of Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator, Bespoke AI Combo, Bespoke AI Steam, and Bespoke AI Wind-Free Gallery air conditioner, with plans to expand to more products.

The Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator now features a "Generative Wallpaper" function, allowing users to create custom backgrounds by selecting from seven themes and six art styles.
