SEOUL, AUGUST 2 (AJU PRESS) — The "Please Protect Us" exhibition is underway at the Cheonggyecheon Museum in Seoul from April 23 to Sept. 8. The collaborative effort between the Cheonggyecheon Museum and the National Institute of Ecology is designed to spotlight the plight of creatures endangered by human actions and to promote a vision of a future where all Earth's species live in harmony.

Cheonggyecheon, a 10-kilometer-long stream in the heart of Seoul, was restored between 2003 and 2005 after the demolition of an old elevated highway. The restoration transformed it into a vibrant green space and a sanctuary for city dwellers.

Cheonggyecheon is now home to clear waters, lush vegetation and a variety of wildlife. A Seoul City survey reported that as of 2022, 492 plant species, 41 bird species and 21 fish species inhabit the area.
