Along with Indonesian, the platform offers multilingual services in nine other languages, including English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Russian.
Through this new service, Indonesian speakers will be able to access account and transaction history, inquire about exchange rates, and use overseas remittance menus in their native language. Users can conduct overseas remittance transactions via mobile at any time, without visiting a branch.
“With the introduction of the Indonesian language service on KB Star Banking, we expect a significant increase in the convenience of financial transactions for Indonesian customers,” the bank said in a press release.
Earlier this month, the bank's Indonesian subsidiary, KB Bank Syariah, secured an exclusive deal to provide digital financial services to Muhammadiyah, a major Muslim organization in Indonesia.
