SEOUL, July 16 (AJU PRESS) - Denmark has partially lifted a recall on extremely spicy instant noodles from Korea, Samyang Food Co., their maker, said on Tuesday.

Last month, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA) recalled three "Buldak" (Fire Chicken) products, citing concerns over high capsaicin levels potentially causing "acute poisoning."

Now, two varieties — Nuclear Fire Chicken Noodles 2x Spicy and Fire Chicken Stew Noodles — can be sold again, while the recall remains in effect for the 3x Spicy variant.

The recall imposed on June 11 garnered international media attention from outlets like BBC, AP and The Washington Post.

Samyang Food submitted a rebuttal contesting the DVFA's measurement methods. The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety also sent an official letter and dispatched a team to Denmark, which led to a reevaluation of the products' safety.

The company views the incident as an opportunity to reassess global standards for spiciness in food products. As Korea’s leading food exporter, Samyang plans to introduce more systematic and safe products in the future while maintaining its signature spicy flavor, the company said.
