SEOUL, July 15 (AJU PRESS) - Shinhan Bank has launched a digital consultation service to help foreign customers more easily access and manage their banking needs, the company announced on Monday.

The service, called "Shinhan Global Plus," is designed to assist foreign customers in using Shinhan's digital lounge and video consultation-based channels. The digital lounge is equipped with digital desks and smart kiosks, with concierge staff on hand to ensure that anyone can handle their banking tasks without difficulty.

Banking tasks can be conducted in 10 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai, with the help of video consultation staff at digital desks. The service covers a wide range of tasks, such as opening new bank accounts, setting up mobile banking and processing international remittances.

The Shinhan Global Plus service will be piloted at three digital lounges located in areas with a high foreign resident population: Seoul National University Station in southern Seoul, Gocheok Intersection in southwestern Seoul, and Banwol Station in Ansan, southwest of Seoul.

The service is available to foreign residents who hold a foreign registration card, a permanent residency permit for foreigners, or a residence certificate for foreign nationals of Korean descent.

The service operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m during the week. The digital lounge at Seoul National University Station is also open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
