SEOUL, July 10 (AJU PRESS) - Samsung Electronics is set to introduce its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 6, alongside its first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in Paris on Wednesday (local time). The showcase, held at the Louvre Museum, will also feature the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Buds 3.

The Z Flip and Fold 6 series, Samsung's second artificial intelligence-powered smartphones after the Galaxy S24, are expected to integrate AI capabilities with the unique form factor of foldable devices. These new models will likely support AI translation across various messaging apps and include features such as call recording summaries and "Circle to Search" image search.

The Z Fold 6 may introduce an AI Graffiti function, enhancing user-drawn images. Both devices are anticipated to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 third-generation processor for improved on-device AI performance.

Specifications for the Z Flip 6 include an upgraded 12GB RAM, a 4000mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera. The Z Fold 6 is expected to be lighter and thinner than its predecessor.

Samsung aims to reclaim market dominance in the foldable segment, challenged recently by Huawei's success in China. The company's mobile division executives have shown confidence by purchasing stocks ahead of the launch.

The Galaxy Ring, a lightweight health-focused wearable, will debut as an alternative to smartwatches for sleep, glucose and heart rate monitoring. Additionally, the Galaxy Buds 3 may adopt a design similar to Apple's AirPods.
