CJ CheilJedang promotes Korean cuisine at Chinese culinary competition

SEOUL, July 4 (AJU PRESS) - CJ CheilJedang sponsored an international Korean food contest in Qingdao, China, last week as part of efforts to promote Korean cuisine globally, the company said Thursday.

The company's Cuisine. K project, aimed at nurturing Korean chefs, sponsored a CJ Challenge Live Competition segment at the 2024 K-Food China Qingdao International Culinary Championship held on Friday and Saturday.

Chefs from the two countries showcased various dishes using popular Korean food products such as dumplings, rice cakes and sauces during the event.

"This was a meaningful opportunity to foster exchanges between domestic and international chefs while simultaneously stimulating interest in Korean cuisine in China. We will continue to create diverse opportunities to discover and nurture globally competitive Korean culinary talent,” said Park So-yeon, CJ CheilJedang's Cuisine. K team leader.
