The third annual festival will take place in Seoul and 18 other regions across the country from Monday to Friday, under the theme "K-Women Entrepreneurs: Opening New Opportunities on the World Stage."
The government has designated the first week of July as Women Entrepreneurship Week to support and inspire female entrepreneurs and address the gender gap in business leadership.
The events organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association (KWEA) and other organizations include awards, a series of forums, an online sale event, goods exhibitions, a job fair, and business consultations.
Additionally, foreign female ambassadors and representatives from foreign chambers of commerce in Korea will be invited to foster global networking opportunities.
"Women-owned enterprises account for over 40 percent of all businesses and serve as a pillar of the national economy," said KWEA President Lee Jeong-han.
"Through the third Women Entrepreneurs Week, I hope many female entrepreneurs will find courage and new breakthroughs for overseas expansion, marking a turning point for further growth," she said.
