PHOTOS: Street vendors call for protection during rally

SEOUL, June 04 (AJU PRESS) - Unionized street vendors held a press conference in front of the National Assembly building in Yeouido, Seoul, on Tuesday.

They called for the enactment of a special law to protect their livelihoods and the dissolution of a police unit tasked with cracking down on them. Lawmakers from the leftist Progressive Party joined the event.

Street vendors from across the country plan to hold a large-scale rally in Yeouido on June 13.
