Samsung promotes new 8K TV at London's iconic square 'Piccadilly Circus'

SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics has promoted its new Neo QLED 8K, a TV model with a powerful picture processor, through an outdoor billboard at Piccadilly Circus, a famous square in London with various cinemas, theaters, restaurants, and pubs. Samsung's existing Neo QLED models can make dark areas darker and bright areas brighter by increasing the luminance scale.

The Neo QLED 8K TV models are known for supporting larger bandwidth loads, processing faster multi-gigabit data, enabling low latency, and providing reliable and secure connectivity.

In March 2021, Neo QLED 8K TV models earned the world's first WiFi 6E certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA), a group of WiFi platform vendors. WiFi 6E, which enables faster speeds and lower latencies than its previous version, WiFi 6, can be adopted by various fields such as online games and virtual or augmented reality platforms.

Samsung said in a statement on March 6 that an advertisement for various new products including the new version of Neo QLED 8K was showcased at Piccadilly Circus. The advertisement showing a man having a great time with Neo QLED 8K was released ahead of the global launch of its new products, which will be released sequentially around the world starting in South Korea on March 9.
