A lighthouse is the landmark of a park dedicated to Hendrick Hamel, a Dutchman who became the first westerner to introduce Korea to the outside world in the 17th century. The unmanned lighthouse painted in red is an eye-catching monument. The park is located near a famous street filled with bar stalls, making it ideal for a place to visit before going on a food trip in Yeosu.

Myodo, or Cat Island in Korean, is literally the shape of a cat. The panoramic view atop Mount Bonghwa is one of the best mountain top panoramic views in South Korea.
