BTS tops Billboard's top 200 popular albums chart with 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7'

SEOUL -- BTS has topped Billboard's top 200 popular albums chart with its new album "MAP OF THE SOUL : 7". This is the fourth time in two years that BTS has topped Billboard's albums chart with newly released albums. The band has scored the biggest week of 2020 for any release.

Billboard announced Monday that the seven-member band's new album has topped Billboard 200 Chart, a weekly chart ranking the 200 most popular albums in the United States, for the week ending on February 27. The prominent American magazine cited Nielsen Music/MRC data saying that 422,000 equivalent album units were sold in the U.S.

BTS has canceled its Seoul concert, scheduled to be held in April, amid heightened concerns over the global spread of a highly contagious novel coronavirus.
