Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) said Thursday that the order to build a 336-meter-long vessel came from Oman Shipping Company (OSC). The Daewoo shipyard, which is in the process of being absorbed by Hyundai Heavy Industries, won an order from OSC in January to build two very large crude carriers.
DSME's accumulated orders so far this year stood at $2.78 billion, or 33 percent of its 2019 target.
