SEOUL -- LS Cable & Systems, a major South Korean cable manufacturer, has started the operation of its new factory in Poland which would produce electric car battery parts and fiber-optic cables targeting European clients.
LS Cable said in a statement Wednesday that its factory has opened in Dzierzoniow, some 200 kilometers (124 miles) southwest of Warsaw. "The factory in Poland will play a key role in our advance into Europe," LS Cable president Myung Roh-hyun was quoted as saying. He vowed to nurture his company into a total cable manufacturer.
Dzierzoniow is near the border with the Czech Republic has a special economic zone housing logistics centers. LS Cable favored Poland for its geographical advantage and excellent personnel.
