Singer-actress Suzy leaves JYP on March 31 to find new agency

SEOUL -- Suzy, a 24-year-old singer-actress, will leave JYP Entertainment after her contract expires at the end of this month. JYP expressed thanks for her contribution for nine years.

JYP announced Suzy's departure March 31 when the contract expires. "We have had time for intensive discussions for months, and both sides have agreed not to extend the contract," the agency said in a statement on Tuesday. Suzy's new agency has not yet been fixed, but Management Soop, which manages Gong Yoo and Jeon Do-yeon, was cited as a candidate.

Suzy debuted in 2010 as a Miss A member, and she began her career in acting by taking the main role in "Architecture 101", a 2012 film. She has appeared in many popular TV dramas such as "Uncontrollably Fond and "While You Were Sleeping". She is set to play a secret agent at Vagabond, a new spy-action drama.
