SEOUL -- Posco Daewoo, a trading arm of South Korean steel giant Posco, has clinched an order worth 60 mln US dollars to help Peru's state shipyard SIMA build a multi-purpose vessel.
Posco Daewoo said Friday that under a deal signed in Lima, it would provide a design and materials to Servicios Industriales de la Marina (SIMA) through South Korean shipbuilder Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering, which would also provide technical training for SIMA.
The ship will be built at the SIMA shipyard. It would be the second multi-purpose vessel to be built in Peru under a contract with Posco Daewoo, which completed the construction of the first one last year.
