SEOUL, Jan. 03 (Aju News) -- Nexon, one of South Korea's major game publishers, warned of action to protect women manning its call center who have been under the constant threat of verbal violence and sexual harassment.
Nexon said in a statement on Wednesday that game users would be banned from using its online and mobile games and call-in help desk if they bully call center workers.
Black consumers involved in continued verbal violence would be barred from using Nexon's services for up to 30 days. Sexual harassment means all services will be banned without notice.
Many South Korean companies and government agencies have taken steps to protect call center workers. Hyundai Card, a credit card company, allows call center workers to hang up if they are harassed habitually by black consumers.
