If you have ever ridden BART, the acronym for Bay Area Rapid Transit, you would know that it is not an uncommon thing to smell urine, vomit, or in the worst case scenario, feces.

For regular BART commuters, you can rejoice now as the authorities arrested one of the serial poopers and urinators of BART. Police identified the suspect as a 68-year-old San Francisco resident, Ardis Williamson.

One of the BART riders took photos of Williamson trying to defecate in BART and alerted BART Police of her presence. The released photos show her with her pants down.

She has been known as BART serial pooper and the authorities had been trying to locate her in vain for months.

BART spokesperson, Alicia Trost, said BART "had officers ride the train each morning in hopes of locating her."

After a rider notified the agency, the authorities arrested her on an outstanding warrant for theft and a no-bail warrant for arson. An additional charge that is not related to her serial pooping amounted on top of the warrants. She had drug paraphernalia in her possession at the time of the arrest.

Trost said, "Quality of life issues impact our riders and we need to keep our system safe and clear. We've heard folks say BART ignores these issues, we do not. We hope this person can now get the help they need."

Williamson was booked into the Redwood City Jail.
