Lamora Williams, a 24-year-old mother from Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder for cooking her sons to death in an oven last Friday. Williams is a mother four children: a 6-year-old daughter, 3-year-old son Jameel Penn Jr., 2-year-old son Ke-Yaunte Penn and 1-year-old son Ja'Karter Penn.
She killed her youngest sons, Ke-Yaunte and Ja'Karter, "by placing them in an oven and turning it on", Fox News reported.
After cooking her sons to death, Williams made a video call to the father of her three sons, Jameel Penn and showed him the lifeless bodies of their sons on the floor. Penn notified the authorities immediately. He separated from Williams but he regularly visited his sons during weekends.
Her oldest sons, Jameel, was in the same house where the homicide happened. Reportedly, the son witnessed his mother murdering his younger brothers. Williams' daughter was not present at home and was with relatives' house.
Jameel Penn Jr. is staying with Penn now. The grieving father said his son saw what happened and talked "about his brothers."
According to Williams' close friend, the mother had a hard time raising four children on her own as a single mother. She also suffered from mental health problem since her father's passing when she was 19 years old. Williams had to quit her work a month prior to the double murders because she could not find a babysitter.
The heinous murder shocked the community. Many gathered to express their condolences outside of the apartment of Williams.
Penn set up a GoFundMe page. He is trying to bring awareness to child abuse with his story as an example.
