Honesty and sincerity are the best policy and they go the long way especially for a girl named Zhang from China.
Zhang is a freshman at a university in Yunan County in Guangdong, China. She is from a family who was suffering financially, so when she finally began her first year in college she was more ecstatic.
She almost gave up on education due to the financial difficulty she was in, but she worked hard to save just enough tuition for a semester. She still had to work part-time while studying full-time if she wanted to continue her education in the university.
On Saturday earlier this month, she was on her way to a bank nearby to deposit the wages that she had saved up. It was her first time taking the path to the bank, so she was busy looking at the street signs. Zhang did not see a car that was parked on the side of the road and she accidentally scratched the car with her bicycle.
The car was Lexus ES350 that the release price in China was about 70,000 yuan. Startled Zhang felt she needed to apologize so she just started waiting for the owner to come back.
She waited over an hour and finally, the Lexus owner returned to his car.
Zhang asked, "Are you the car owner?:, and sincerely told him, "I make a small dent on your car. I really wanted to apologize and waited for your so I can give you the repairing money.
The car owner was touched by her honesty and sincerity. Also, looking at Zhang who waited for you over an hour on a hot sunny day, he was moved. The owner told her she did not have to pay him the repairing cost.
He then started asking Zhang questions. She explained her situation as a university student and her family's financial suffering. He then offered to pay her the full tuition until she finishes her education in the university. In an interview with a local news, he said, "I was saddened and touched after hearing her financial difficulty. I hope this warm-hearted student never gets hurt because of money."
The story went viral since the news made headlines. Many praised Zhang for her honesty and the owner's generosity.
