Autonomous cars and eco-friendly took the center stage at the 2017 Seoul Motor Show on Friday. South Korean carmaker Hyundai introduced an autonomous version of its electric vehicle IONIQ at a special stage inside the event hall.
Chevrolet introduced Bolt, a full-electric car, and Volt, a plug-in hybrid vehicle which was released in South Korea in February this year. The two vehicles became the center of attention even before their release as electric vehicles are on the rise in South Korea and consumers are looking for affordable electric cars.
Kia's first high-performance sedan, Stinger, was also introduced in South Korea for the first time. The sedan surprised the world when it was showcased at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year with its aggressive design and its performance.
