Suga, a member of popular body group BTS, will skip public activities and year-end performances due to an ear injury, the group's management agency said Thursday.
The 23-year-old rapper injured his ear Tuesday after he tripped on a doorsill, Big Hit Entertainment said. At the request of doctors, Suga will suspend his activities for treatment, it said, adding he would skip rehearsals or concerts.
Despite Suga's injury, the other members will have to digest busy schedules due to rising popularity at home and abroad. "Wings," the group's second studio album, has been selected by Fuse TV, a US cable and satellite music channel as one of this year's 20 best albums.
BTS has emerged as a leading K-pop group with "WINGS" ranked as high as 26th on the Billboard 200 chart, the highest placement for a K-pop group to date.
