The first virtual reality coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics will be provided through Samsung's "Gear VR".
Rio's Olympic Broadcasting Services would provide 85 hours of VR programming to NBC Olympics. By using the NBS Sports app, Gear VR users can gain access to the opening and closing ceremonies, men's basketball, gymnastics, boxing, beach volleyball and others.
But unfortunately, the VR service won't be available live. The VR coverage will be distributed a day later.
