IU tops 8 music sites with new song 'Twenty-three'

"Twenty-three," the title track of K-pop singer and actress IU's new mini album "CHAT-SHIRE," topped eight local music sites, including Melon, Genie and Mnet, upon its release early Friday.

Other songs in the album, such as "New Shoes" and "Glasses," were also included in the top 10 on those sites.

"CHAT-SHIRE" is her first album in about one and a half years.

She participated in the lyric writing and composing process, as well as production of the album, entertainment industry sources said.
