The 38-year-old Kim will play a queen, named "Yeonhi," in the upcoming TV series, titled "Ice Fantasy."
Kim has gained popularity in China for her roles in Chinese films, such as "The Myth" and "The Warring States."
"Ice Fantasy" is based on "Huan Cheng," a 2003 novel by Chinese writer Guo Jingming.
