Internet banking subscribers rose 4.3% in 2nd quarter: BOK

The number of subscribers to Internet banking services in South Korea totaled 113,273,000 as of the end of June 2015, up 4.3 percent from three months earlier, the central bank said on Monday. They included overlapping subscribers at 17 domestic banks and Korea Post.

Of the total, 106,546,000 were individual subscribers, up 4.4 percent from the end of March, the Bank of Korea (BOK) said in a press release. The remaining 6,727,000 were corporate subscribers, up 2.7 percent from three months earlier.

Meanwhile, subscribers to mobile banking services totaled 69,360,000 in number at the end of June, up 5.5 percent from three months earlier, the BOK said.
