Ryu's compatriot, Park In-bee, who finished second in the World Ladies Championship, narrowed the gap with No. 1-ranked Lydia Ko, a South Korea-born New Zealander. Park scored 10.10 points, less than 10.90 won by Ko.
Stacy Lewis of the United States and Feng Shanshan of China retained their Nos. 3 and 4 positions with 8.89 and 6.07 points, respectively.
