Lewis was tied for ninth in the LPGA's season-ending CME Group Tour Championship golf tournament in Florida, the United States, Sunday. But that was enough for her to win the points-based LPGA Tour Player of the Year award for the second time in three years, the Vare Trophy for the lowest scoring average and the LPGA Tour money title with season earnings amounting to $2.53 million.
Park In-bee of South Korea and Lydia Ko, a South Korean-born New Zealander, were ranked second and third with $2.22 million and $2.08 million, respectively.
Park, however, ended the 2014 LPGA Tour season as the world's No. 1 in the women's golf rankings, though she was tied for 24th in the CME tournament. She retained her No. 1 position for the fifth consecutive week.
Lewis and Ko, winner of the CME tournament, remained at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
