Goldman Sachs forecast Tuesday that Kospi will climb to the 2,350 level in late 2014, aided by a global economic recovery.

It said South Korea's economy will grow 3.7 percent next year.

The growth rate is slightly higher than an average of 3.6 percent global economic growth, said Kwon Goo-hoon, the managing director and co-head of research at Goldman Sachs Asia.

He predicted that the U.S. economy will advance 3 percent in 2014, while China's economy will grow 7.8 percent.
