South Korean left-handed pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers placed fourth in the voting for the National League Rookie of the Year award. Ryu earned 10 third-place votes for 10 points in the voting whose results were released by the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) on Monday (local time). Jose Fernandez, a right-hander for the Miami Marlins, won the top honor with 142 points. Fernandez received 26 of 30 first-place votes from a BBWAA panel.
